Announcing the New Cape Breton Equipment Hub!
We are happy to announce a new collaboration with theĀ Cheticamp River Salmon Association: as of this summer, a YSI is available at the brand new Cape Breton equipment hub!
Community-based monitoring organizations, researchers, and citizen scientists can now use high quality water monitoring equipment maintained by the CRSA. The YSI can measure baseline water monitoring parameters: temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, turbidity, and conductivity.

In our 2020 data sufficiency analysis, we identified Cape Breton as a region where our support with data collection would go a long way. This new equipment is part of our support for organizations in data deficient regions across Atlantic Canada.
We are SO excited to work with the CRSA and organizations across Cape Breton to help collect and share important water quality data.
