The Equipment Bank provides monitoring equipment to community-based water monitoring programs throughout Atlantic Canada. The Equipment Bank program is the longest running program of Atlantic Water Network’s founding organization, CBEMN. We ensure that equipment is calibrated and functioning properly so that your organization can collect the most accurate data possible. Equipment can be borrowed free of charge and works similarly to a library loan program.
Please contact our office today with any questions on use of equipment or to book for your monitoring program. The summer months are our busiest time of the year so please book in advance. If you would like to receive training on how to use any of the equipment pieces listed below, please contact our office.
To accommodate our partners in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, we have expanded our equipment bank to include Equipment Hubs in NB and PEI. Equipment Hubs are hosted by our partners at ACAP Saint John and the PEI Watershed Alliance. Our NB Equipment Hub has 3 YSI multi-parameter probes and a flow probe, and our PEI Equipment Hub has a YSI multi-parameter probe (with a nitrate probe), a flow probe, and temperature loggers.
The Equipment Bank is brought to you by: TD Friends of the Environment, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Saint Mary’s University Department of Geography and Environmental Studies and the Community Based Environmental Monitoring Network.
